2015 Germonte Introduces himself to Kya as you know who (Dj..) but we aren’t going to go there LOL! Kya shut him down instantly. 2016 They saw each other occasionally at social events where they would have small talk. They exchanged numbers. Germonte was tweeting about the stress of his senior year of college and “senioritis” and Kya reaches out to pray for him. Kya and Germonte see each other at UTK’s homecoming and take their 1st picture together! 2017- March Kya and Germonte see each other on a friend’s trip to Nashville. Monte talks to her and her friends for hours and they got to know a lot about each other. Germonte and Kya never stopped talking after that trip. They built a solid friendship and what they called a “duality” from March to September. They lived in different cities, so there was a lot of texting and talking to get to know one another. 2017- September Germonte asks Kya to be his girlfriend. He moves to Nashville. 2018 Kya moves back to Memphis. They focus on getting to know each other more. 2019 Kya and Germonte begin pre-engagement counseling. They knew they would be together forever. Christmas Day- Germonte made sure Kya was distracted as he asked her parents for her hand in marriage (shhhh). 2020 March Germonte handpicked the perfect diamond for Kya BUT, he was on a financial fast and was not making any purchases. He said if the diamond was gone when he came off the fast, then it wasn’t the diamond meant for his future wife! He took Mya and Jalyn to see the ring in person! We decided to delve deeper into our personal counseling so Germonte held off on the proposal. Can you say GENERATIONAL BLESSINGS?! 2020 December Germonte surprises Kya with a fairytale proposal and the ring of her dreams! 2021 Kya and Germonte have been enjoying their engagement! They hired a wedding planner and pretty much finished planning their wedding! They celebrated their 1-year engagement in a MAJOR way! 2022 04/23/2022... Get Ready!
