Aaron's Point of View It was a Friday night in the middle of the summer. My teammates and I headed out for a night out. After getting something to eat and a few drinks, one of my teammates wanted to stop by Sonic's to see a friend who works there before returning to our apartments. While my other teammate and I were third-wheeling, standing outside the car, I had to use the restroom. Knowing that Sonic wasn't the type of restaurant to let customers inside, I didn't know what I would do. My teammate's friend told me to go inside. I was confused because customers are usually not allowed inside, but she insisted, so I began to go inside. As I was about to open the door and walk in, a young lady walked out, taking an order to a customer. She didn't see me initially, and we almost ran into each other. I instantly felt terrible because I scared her and nearly knocked over everything that she was carrying. Looking down at her, I could only see her beautiful smile because she had on her Sonic employee hat. After I apologized, she continued walking, and the employees inside informed me that I could not use the bathroom. I had to run next door instead. When I came back, all I could think about was the girl I ran into who had the most beautiful smile I had ever seen and that I would love to meet her. Standing in Sonic's parking lot, I had to think of a way to get her to come out. So, I pressed the ready-to-order button in the lane next to us, hoping that she would be the one to come out. Sadly, that was not the case. Some other girl asked, "Which one of y'all pressed this button? " I acted like I didn't know what she was talking about because she was not the girl I wanted to come out. She then walked back inside. My teammate's friend then asked us, "Who pressed the button? " I told her I did and did so that the other girl would come out, not her. She asked me which girl I was talking about, and I said the short girl with a pretty smile. She proceeded inside the restaurant to make her come out. When Kwincy came out and walked towards me, I knew I wanted her. We talked for a couple of minutes and then exchanged information. All I could think about the rest of that night was that I would do everything I could to make her mine. Kwincy's Point of View We met in the summer at Sonic while I worked one night. He walked into Sonics while I walked out to take a customer's food. I did not see his face when he opened the door, and he scared me because customers usually did not come inside, but I remember thinking he smelled excellent. I walked back inside the restaurant to continue working but kept getting a buzz in my headset from a customer outside. I ignored it and let my coworker answer it. She went outside after answering, then returned inside. My other coworker returned inside and told me that someone would like to speak to me outside. We talked for a moment that night, and I could not stop smiling because he had the most amazing eyes. We made it official in November 2019 while he attended Georgia Southern, and I attended Georgia State University. Covid hit in 2020, so I came back home to Statesboro with him, and we have been inseparable ever since.
