West 6th Street

This is our personal favorite “going out” spot in Downtown Austin! There’s lots of great bar options, Buford’s is one of our personal favorites! There’s multiple parking options but prefer the parking at W 6th St. and Congress Ave.

Zilker Metropolitan Park

Zilker Park is a great options if you’re looking to do anything out-doors in Austin! You can enjoy great views of the area including Lake Austin and are able to go swimming at Barton Springs if you’re ready for the very refreshingly cold water! Or if you’d like a beautiful outdoor experience you can walk through the Zilker Botanical Garden!

This is an amazing restaurant with absolutely delicious food and an amazing atmosphere! The food is on the more high-end side but it is definitely worth it! We would suggest to make a reservation if you plan to eat here during your time in Austin.

Broken Spoke

The Broken Spoke is the oldest Country Western Dance Hall in Texas! Brandon is also relatives of this family owned business! This would be a great place to visit if you’d like to get your boots on practice your two steppin’!

The Salt Lick BBQ

Salt Lick BBQ is one of the most famous BBQ restaurants in Texas! This is a great dinner or lunch option that offers indoor and outdoor seating options and delicious food!

The Driskill Hotel

If you’re looking for something touristy to do this is a must see for historical downtown Austin! There’s countless accounts of haunted experiences occurring at this hotel! The Driskill was built back in 1886 and is considered to be one of the most haunted hotels in the country!

Downtown Wimberley

Downtown Wimberley is a cute area to walk around, go shopping and get some food! This is the town that Kili grew up in! There are also some great swimming options at Blue Hole or Jacob’s Well Natural Area!

The Square in San Marcos

The Square in Downtown San Marcos is a great option for food and drinks! This is right near Texas State University where Brandon and Kili met and attended college together!
