How do we get to Roosevelt Island?

Answer

By Car: Accessible only from the Queens side. About 20min from Exit 16 Hunters Point Avenue off the LIE. Also about 20min from Exit 45 31st Street on the Grand Central/I 278, the last exit before the bridge. We recommend the paid street parking along East Loop Road next to Cornell Tech's campus. Subway: Take the E to Roosevelt Island Subway Station. Walk south about 12min along West Loop Road to the meeting point at Streckler Laboratory. Tram: Runs every 7-15 minutes from 59th Street and Second Avenue in Manhattan to Tramway Plaza on Roosevelt Island. Accepts Metrocards. About a 9min walk south along West Loop Road to the meeting point at Streckler Laboratory. Ferry: Take the NYC Ferry to the Roosevelt Island Ferry Terminal. The meeting point at Streckler Laboratory is about a 9min walk south along East Loop Road. Foot/Bike: You can also walk across the Roosevelt Island Bridge, or bike, but we recommend walking your bike on the actual bridge- it's a bit scary!

Are you registered anywhere?

We're actually not at the moment. This year it doesn't feel right doing so. Instead, we'll register before next year's party, but will likely keep it simple. Stay tuned for more in 2021.

MASK FASHION: Category is SPACE! Please wear your space-themed masks for both events as we have immunocompromised guests. Ours will be Godzilla & Mothra masks. What will you be sporting? ATTIRE: We're aiming for garden party meets cocktail party with 1960's/Godzilla/space vibes. Whatever that brings to mind for you works for us! Perhaps keep the stilettos at home though- we'll be standing on grass.
