Due to my love of sports, I borrowed his Kyle Korver jersey for a Hawks game through my roommate, as they worked on the same team at EY. We later met at the EY Christmas party, and then for drinks soon after during a rare ATL winter storm. There was no one better to go on a practice date with, than someone moving to Birmingham who I would never see again. When my roommate asked how it went I said, "It was fun, but I'm not going to marry him." He insisted that we go out on a real date, so he came back to Atlanta and took me to Beetlecat. The kale salad won my heart, and from there it was smooth sailing being in different cities. It only took me six months to realize I really wanted to date him, and it only took him over three years to propose. Now, we both live in Atlanta and are ready to spend the rest of our lives together. Let's get this bread.

I had known for quite some time that she was the one...there was just a slight logistical issue of being in separate cities. She planned a trip to London in April for my birthday, and I knew that would be a great opportunity to propose. I had planned to move to Atlanta in June, so things were falling into place. Then...the rona hit. While I was still able to workout my move to Atlanta, the London trip was squashed. She loves celebrating every holiday, so I thought it would be special to incorporate the proposal into her Easter basket. I filled the basket full of healthy foods and treats she enjoys, and I hid the ring in the bottom. She said "yes" and we are excited to celebrate our marriage with everyone that relentlessly asked when this was going to happen.
