We're getting hitched!

We met in January 2023. Alex's friend Julia and Nick's friend Shawn had invited us both to play in their new Dungeons & Dragons campaign. Nick instantly fell for Alex's elf ears and interest in history and books while Alex grew intrigued by the luscious-haired gauge-wearing man playing the brooding wizard tiefling. It wasn't until a group trip to Disneyland a couple of months later that they started flirting at the idea of maybe hanging out outside of D&D games together. And after that? Well, as they say, the rest is history. We still think it's strange that if our friends hadn't first met on a dating app then we wouldn't be here, but just like a fantasy world campaign, you never know how the dice are gonna roll!

For their first date, Nick took Alex to a Paint 'n Sip class where they learned how to paint a sunset while sipping wine and then going to a local gastropub. Two days before their second anniversary, they recreated this same date at the same locations (this time learning how to paint sea turtles) and at the end of the night, right as Alex was about to get ready for bed, Nick got down on one knee, asked Alex to marry him, and the first words out of her mouth before saying yes were "Are you kidding?!" because she was so excited.
