What began unexpectedly, quickly became something neither of us could imagine life without. From the very start, there was a comfort between us, a natural ease that made being together feel less like a choice and more like coming home. As our relationship deepened, so did the adventures that shaped us. Life had a way of taking us places, together. From the shores of Corpus Christi, to the beautiful island of Grenada in the Caribbean, to building memories in San Antonio, and now planting roots in Chicago. Each city has left its mark on us, but what has mattered most in every place is simply this: we have been side by side through all of it. Every move, every milestone, every ordinary Tuesday has been made better by having each other. Some of our favorite memories together are the simple ones. Cheering at baseball games, finding a new favorite restaurant, getting lost in a good movie, exploring somewhere new, and simply being with the people we love. It is in those quiet, ordinary moments that we have found the best parts of us. In October 2024, on the shores of North Avenue Beach with the Chicago skyline as our witness, Kurtis asked Kassandra to spend forever with him and she said yes. The beach felt like the perfect place to ask. It tied together so much of who we are, the water, the city, the life we had been building together. It was a moment filled with joy, happy tears, and the overwhelming sense that every step of our journey had led us exactly here. Kurtis brings kindness, steadiness, and a humor that makes even the hardest days lighter. Kassandra brings heart, determination, and a fierce love for the people in her life. Together, we have built a relationship grounded in love, laughter, and a shared vision for the future.
