Van Acre is a modern American restaurant rooted in the spirit of Wausau—warm, welcoming, and proudly local. Tucked inside the Hilton Garden Inn, it blends homegrown hospitality with a polished, cozy atmosphere that feels perfect for our celebration weekend.
Breakfast Bear
One of our top favorite breakfast spots. Try the biscuits & gravy (topped with fried chicken!) or the El Fuego omelet... you won't be disappointed! Breakfast Bear is a charming, locally loved breakfast café known for its comfort‑food classics, friendly atmosphere, and generous portions.
Rib Mountain State Park
Rib Mountain State Park is one of Wausau’s most beloved natural landmarks — a towering quartzite ridge with sweeping views, peaceful trails, and that unmistakable Northwoods calm. It’s the perfect place to explore between wedding events, whether you want a scenic lookout, a quiet walk, or a little fresh air to start the day.
Zaika Gourmet India
This is an Indian restaurant new to Wausau... we LOVE it. The wait is worth it :) Zaika brings vibrant, modern Indian cuisine to Wausau with bold flavors, beautiful presentation, and a warm, contemporary atmosphere. It’s quickly become one of the area’s most exciting new dining spots — perfect for guests looking to explore something fresh during our wedding weekend.

Ciao is a cozy, modern Italian restaurant known for handmade pastas, wood‑fired flavors, and a welcoming atmosphere that feels perfect for date nights, family dinners, or a relaxed evening out during the wedding weekend. They have a great wine and bourbon selection, and they are located in downtown Wausau - a fun place to explore!
Wish Steakhouse
Wish Steakhouse is a modern take on the classic Wisconsin supper club — warm, stylish, and centered around high‑quality steaks, craft cocktails, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s one of the area’s best spots for a celebratory dinner, a relaxed night out, or a cozy meal with family and friends during the wedding weekend. Their wine & bourbon list is also fantastic.

Wausau mine is THE place to go for pizza, Italian Fries (A MUST HAVE!), or burgers. With its fun cozy, mine‑themed atmosphere, it's one of our go-to staple restaurants.
