We met at Raceway gas station in South Hill. I was hanging out with my best friend Taylor Walker and our friend George Elam was there with Kurt. It’s like we had a click. He sure knew how to put a smile on my face. He still does to this day.

We went hiking on Sharp Top mountain for our third year anniversary of dating. Even Sadie went with us! It was beautiful climbing it but very cold when we got to the top! We had lunch and then wanted to take a few pictures but had to use a tripod to hold the phone! Kurt actually recorded a video and we were posing for pictures and once I turned around, he was on one knee with a beautiful ring in his hand. I thought I was dreaming, but I wasn’t. I knew at that moment I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.
