Is there a ceremony?

Answer

We are not having a ceremony. After 17 wonderful years together, we decided to celebrate our marriage in a way that feels most like us. Rather than a traditional ceremony, we’re gathering everyone we love for a relaxed daytime reception and after-party centered around great food, drinks, and good company. Food is a big part of our lives, so it only felt right to host our celebration at one of our favorite restaurants in Sacramento. Our goal for the day is simple: eat and drink well, and celebrate with people we love. Thank you for being part of our celebration — it truly means the most to us.

What’s the dress code?

Answer

We recommend business casual attire. The reception will be held at Canon, a moderately upscale restaurant, followed by an after-party at The Barn, a casual outdoor brewery. Please wear whatever makes you look and feel your best, keeping in mind that photos will be taken throughout the event. We suggest something appropriate for a nice restaurant, but comfortable enough to wear all day. You are welcome to dress up more if you’d like, but it’s not required. For men: pants, dark jeans, or khakis with a long- or short-sleeve button-up shirt or polo. Jackets are optional. For women: dresses, skirts, pants, or dark jeans paired with a nice top or blouse.

Can I bring a +1?

Answer

We are only able to accommodate the guests listed on each invitation. If you received a plus-one, it will be clearly indicated on your invitation. Otherwise, we ask that no additional guests attend.

Where do I park?

Answer

We recommend using Uber or Lyft, especially for guests who plan on enjoying drinks, so you can relax and not worry about driving. For the luncheon reception at Canon: Canon has a small parking lot located across the street next to the Muzio Bakery building. Space is limited, so we kindly ask that this lot be reserved for our elderly relatives. Free street parking is also available on 34th St and throughout the surrounding neighborhood. For the after-party at The Barn: There is a large metered parking lot located at Bridge St and Central St, about one block from the brewery. Metered street parking is also available on Bridge St and Riverfront St. Both the lot and street meters offer two hours of free parking, with hourly rates afterward.

Is it indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The luncheon reception at Canon is indoors. Guests will also have access to a covered outdoor patio. The after party at The Barn is outdoors under a covered patio. Guests will also have access to a private indoor bar.

Can kids attend?

Answer

Children are welcome to attend both the reception luncheon and the brewery after-party. The luncheon will be held at Canon, a moderately upscale restaurant. We have reserved the entire restaurant for our celebration, so the space will be just for our group. The after-party will take place at The Barn, a kid-friendly brewery with plenty of outdoor space for kids to play and run around. We kindly ask that children remain supervised by a parent or guardian at all times so that everyone can relax and enjoy the celebration.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

We do not have a wedding registry. Your presence at our celebration is more than enough, so please do not feel obligated to bring a gift. However, if you still wish to bring something, there will be a small gift table and card box available at the reception.
