Maid of Honor
Honestly, when we first met, we didn't immediately become friends. It wasn't until our high school boyfriends at the time, locked us in the garage and told us, "We aren't letting you out until you're friends." Fast forward more than ten years, those idiot boyfriends are out of the picture, we're still the bestest of friends, and I'm getting married! Over the years we have been there for each other no matter what. Always accepting what each other had to say or do. We've supported each other when life is at it's toughest and giving each other the long distance kick in the ass when we've strayed off path. Life wouldn't be the same without this girl. Cheers to our lifelong friendship and to you standing by my side while I marry my other best friend.
Best Man
David has been an amazing part of our lives together. He has been someone who we want to set examples for, someone who makes us want to be better people, and someone who has continuously been there for us has he's gotten older. The relationship between Kurt and David is like no other. They talk everyday; about the hard stuff, fun stuff, and the serious matters that are going on in this world. The best part, is they are both always challenging each other to be better, and checking one another when they aren't. Our circle wouldn't be complete without this man by our sides, so what better person to stand literally by our side during the most important time in our lives.
Bridesmaid
This girl right here! We have been through so much together since high school. Meaning, we've been friends since I was 15; that's close to 20 years! We've laughed, cried, yelled, and even not spoke to each other at times, but relationships are a roller coaster of emotions and about growing together. There were times where we thought we were going to grow apart, but we didn't allow that to happen. We have always found our way back into each other's lives and it feels like we didn't skip a beat. Casey has already helped so much with wedding stuff, I don't even know how to thank her. She gives me solid advice on party planning and about my wedding day look! I can't wait to for this journey to unfold for us and for you to be a part of this monumental life occasion! Lee you!
Groomsman
In our original phases of wedding planning, we always envisioned Steve being the guy to marry us. But, unfortunately Taco Bell doesn't allow that. He's known us as a couple forever and even lived with us for a short time, plus he just has a way with words! Kurt and Steve go way back to the sleep-away camp days and have remained close even if we moved halfway across the country. Not only has Steve been there for us, but he's taught us so many things, like the art of stealing cool glasswear from bars, how to lunge appropriately, and the correct way to iron a dress shirt.
Bridesman
My one and only bridesman. I might hate him a little bit for moving across the country to learn how to be a chemist, but he's still the best guy-girlfriend I could get. We may not talk everyday, but I really know that Trav is there for me no matter what. He's been there for the tough stuff, which is really where friends are made. I'm glad to be celebrating with him by my side!
Groomsman
A chance situation occurred one day, the day that Mikey and I met. Even though I was a Nas fan and he was a Jay-Z fan, we made it work. From the beginning we started gettin ourselves into a variety of adventures. Being that we are two very different people, we have forged the bond of friendship over long conversations and the ambition to better ourselves. Mikey has always been that for me, someone to continually drive me to do more, be more, and make more. Mikey has welcomed Kate with open arms during our journey together. He has cheered for us when things get tough, he's there to celebrate during the happy times, and he treats us just like any other family. That' what Mikey is, family.
Groomsman
My brother from another Mother, Eric Bradley Loman! We have shared more than half our life together and I'm so proud of the man he has become today. We've grown so much together and I wouldn't want it any other way. From getting his life together and making some serious changes, to getting married, to being a father. I love seeing his journey in life.
Mother of the Bride
While I don't surround myself with much related family, my mom is someone who has been by my side forever, literally. She supports most of my decisions, even if they aren't something she necessarily agrees with herself and she's always cheering me on from the sidelines. This woman will be walking me down the isle on my big day and I couldn't be happier! PICTURE TBD!
Mother of the Groom
This tea-riffic lady you see right here is my mom. She taught me vital skills that contribute to the man I am today, even if I didn't necessarily realize them until much later in life. She taught me to recycle, respect women, and to cherish the world around me. She has always rooted for me no matter what I wanted to do with my life. She has shown Kate the same, and now my Mom will have the daughter she always wanted.
Father of the Groom
Keith has been a staple in our relationship from the beginning. He's welcomed me with open arms into the Stevens family and hasn't doubted that decision yet....well maybe a couple times, but nothing serious. HA! Not only is he there for Kurt and I when things get hard, but you can always count on him for a good laugh and a cold beer!
