Bus
There's daily service directly to the Bear Mountain Inn. Click the link and use the drop down menu to select New York, New York to Bear Mountain, New York for schedule and tickets. You will have a 2 mile walk from The Bear Mountain Inn to The Overlook Lodge. Get there early, with the holiday weekend I can't stress this enough. Personally I would want to be on the first bus out of Manhattan (think LA traffic on a holiday weekend). Bear Mountain is a state park you can spend time walking around. There's hiking trails, views of the Bear Mountain Bridge, and a small animal rehab Zoo you can enjoy. Be sure to pack yourself a lunch (stop by a bodega before leaving Manhattan).
Flight
New York City Airports - JFK, LGA, EWR
NYC has 3 major airports, details below. All require a transfer to get from Fresno (FAT) to NYC. We typically fly American Airlines and transfer through Dallas (DFW). Dallas is American Airlines' headquarters so if delayed or cancelled you have better luck getting on a later flight. IMPORTANT: We recommending considering transportation into Manhattan and then to the wedding venue before booking your flight. I strongly advise getting a car service (uber, cab, lyft, luxury car, etc.) to get from the airport to Manhattan. Driving yourself in Manhattan is incredibly intimidating and challenging, many New Yorkers won't even drive there. 1. Newark (EWR) is located in New Jersey, while prices are typically favorable be mindful as cancellations are high for this airport. 2. John F. Kennedy (JFK) is located in Jamaica, NY. It's a bit challenging to get to Manhattan from here, but a lot of flights should be available. 3. Laguardia (LGA) is located in Queens, NY. This is my top recommendation for getting into Manhattan. Also, this airport just had major renovations done in recent years.

Origin: Grand Central Station Destination: Peekskill IMPORTANT NOTE: You'll need a rental car to get to the venue. Avoid some roadway traffic. If you wish to take a train close to the venue you can travel via Metro North.

NJ Transit to Zipcar
Origin: Penn Station New York (select the correct one, there's one in Newark that's not correct if leaving Manhattan). Destination: Secaucus Junction Station New York Penn Station is located below Madison Square Garden, there's stairs from the street that lead down into it. Once in Secaucus get a rental car from Zipcar (should be walkable from the train station - but double check). If you want to drive less, you can select Mahwah as your destination (you'll transfer trains in Secaucus). Once in Mahwah it's a 20 minute walk to Enterprise, you may be able to get an Uber as well. From Mahwah driving conditions are much calmer than in NYC.
