FAQs

The Wedding Website of Amanda Kuron and Eric Balduf
Question

Is there a ceremony as part of the event?

Answer

We’ll be getting married the day before in a small, private ceremony with our immediate families. This event is a celebration party where we look forward to gathering, eating, dancing, and having fun together!

Question

Will we get to see footage of the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We have a content creator coming to film our ceremony. We will share clips and photos on this wedding site when we receive the content, so you can experience it with us!

Question

What's the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?

Answer

We recommend using Uber or other rideshare services, especially if you plan to drink. Parking at the venue is limited, so if you’re not driving, rideshares are your best bet. The venue is just 5 minutes from the hotel block and about 10 minutes from the bar where the afterparty will be held. While transportation won't be provided, we have an Uber discount code our guests can use to cover up to $25 on travel to and from the celebration! We recommend scheduling Ubers to avoid any scheduling trouble as Newport can get quite busy in the summer.

Question

Will the celebration be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Mid-July in Newport usually means great summer weather—highs around 79°F during the day and cooler evenings around 64°F. Our celebration will have both indoor and outdoor spaces: inside will be air-conditioned and comfy, and outside there’ll be a separate bar, lawn games, and plenty of space to hang out. Rain’s always a small possibility, but the venue’s got us covered either way.

Question

What's the best airport to use?

Answer

The best airport to fly into for Newport, Rhode Island, is Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (PVD), about 45 minutes away by car, offering the most flight options. Newport State Airport (UUU) is very close but serves only private and charter flights. Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) is another option with more international flights but is about 1.5 to 2 hours away. For most travelers, T.F. Green is the most convenient choice.

Question

What's the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Our dress code is Summer Chic. For women, think flowy summer dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or cute separates. Light fabrics, bright colors, and florals are all encouraged. For men, smart casual works well: linen shirts or light blazers, chinos or dress pants, and loafers or dress shoes. Ties are optional. Tailored shorts are also totally fine. It is summer, after all! Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?

Answer

Your invitation will clearly indicate if you have been extended a plus one. This will be shown either by including their name directly on your invitation or by stating "and guest". We kindly ask that you only bring a guest if your invitation specifically notes it.

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

We adore your little ones, but to allow all of our guests a relaxing and enjoyable evening, we've decided to host an adults-only event. We hope this advance notice helps you make arrangements, and we can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

How do I access the registry?

Answer

We truly appreciate your thoughtfulness! Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift to us, and we don't have a traditional registry. If you feel inclined to give a gift, contributions towards starting our new life together, such as checks or cash for our home savings, would be deeply appreciated.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, there will be an open bar! You’ll be able to enjoy Newport Craft Brewing & Distilling’s full lineup of craft beers and spirits throughout the evening. Please note that wine is not available from the bar. We’ve set a generous tab, so drinks will be covered until we hit that limit—after that, it’ll switch to a cash bar. (The afterparty will be cash bar only.)
