FAQs

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we adore your children, we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening! Please let us know if you would like assistance finding childcare in Columbus.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If a guest has been included, it will be noted on your invitation and during the RSVP process. Thank you so much for your understanding!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

For the Welcome Party, guests are invited to wear dressy casual attire. For the wedding day, black tie is preferred. Guests may consider floor-length gowns, tuxedos, or other formal evening attire. Ladies are kindly asked to refrain from wearing white dresses or any similar shades. For inspiration, please visit the Guest Attire tab.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 4:30pm, so please plan to arrive by 4:00pm to allow time for seating and to enjoy a glass of champagne before the ceremony begins. Please note: As the Ohio Statehouse is a government building, all guests will be required to pass through security upon entering and exiting the venue. We kindly recommend allowing a little extra time for this process.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes! For guests staying at one of our hotel block properties, shuttle service will be available to and from the wedding venue. Please visit the Travel tab for the official shuttle schedule and pickup details.

Question

Will there be parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Guests are welcome to use the underground parking garage at the Ohio Statehouse for complimentary parking during the wedding weekend (Friday–Sunday). Please visit the Travel tab for additional information.

Question

Where should I enter the Ohio Statehouse from the parking garage?

Answer

If you're arriving to the Ohio Statehouse from the underground parking garage, please park on the Green Level and use the sliding glass doors marked “Ohio Statehouse,” located in the center of the level.

Question

Where should I enter the Ohio Statehouse if I'm walking or arriving by rideshare?

Answer

Guests walking or being dropped off should use the designated entrance on the east side of Capitol Square along Third Street.

Question

Is the Statehouse ADA accessible?

Answer

Yes! The Ohio Statehouse is ADA accessible, with accessible entrances, elevators, and accommodations throughout the building. If you have any specific accessibility needs, please let us know so we can help make your experience as comfortable as possible.
