"We're getting married!"

The story begins the day before the proposal with a funny story. While we walked the pier at Fair Haven, NY enjoying the beautiful lake and sunset. I turned to Brett and said “How funny would it be if you proposed to me right now!” We both looked at each other, smiled and kept on walking! Little did I know the next day at the very same spot he was going to ask me to marry him! On Wednesday, June 21, 2023 we drove to Fair Haven that afternoon to walk the pier as we often do. This is where we have our deep talks and manifest our life goals and dreams, buying our first home together, getting married, and starting a family. I was looking towards the water soaking up the sun and Brett grabbed my hand, I turned around and he was down on one knee fighting back his tears says “Do you remember what you said yesterday when we were here, Marissa will you marry me!” Through my excited and happy giggles, I said “YES of course!” we couldn’t be any happier! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Geneva!
