Will there be transportation from the hotel to the cathedral and reception venue?

Answer

Yes, we will be providing a shuttle to and from the Residence Inn Garden City to the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) train station on 12/14 at 12pm and the Mansion at Oyster Bay on 12/15 at 2pm and back.

If we are driving in both days, where should we park?

Answer

Park at the parking garage located at 300 E 34th St. New York NY 10016 (directly across the main entrance of the cathedral) prior to the ceremony on 12/14. There is valet parking at the Mansion at Oyster Bay at the reception on 12/15.

What do I need to know about the Long Island Railroad (LIRR)?

Answer

The Long Island Railroad (LIRR) operates trains between Manhattan and Long Island, and it will serve as the best way to commute between the two areas. Before getting on the train, you can buy a ticket from a machine, usually located on the platforms, but the best way to buy your fare is to download the TrainTime app, which will also have schedules. Trains will arrive at either Penn Station or Grand Central in Manhattan - Grand Central will be the best option, since the cathedral is just 2 blocks away from the 33rd Street stop on the 6 train line. Do not bring alcohol on the train this weekend, as the city is enforcing a strict policy due to SantaCon happening.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

Contact Kunny or Peter as soon as able to indicate if you require dinner that is gluten free, halal, kosher, vegetarian, or free of a specific food allergen.

What is the wedding attire?

Answer

The attire for the ceremony is Sunday best and for the reception is black tie optional.
