Hiking is one of our favorite weekend activities! Lake Isabelle/Isabelle Glacier (6.6 miles to the lake or 8.4 to the glacier) in Nederland and Chief Mountain (2.8 miles) outside of Idaho Springs are two of our personal favorites. Rocky Mountain National Park is further out in Estes Park, but Emerald Lake (3.2 miles) and Sky Pond (9.4 miles) are worth the trek, and Estes Park is a charming little town. Boulder, Golden, and Evergreen also offer some great trails if you're looking for something closer to Denver. The Flatirons Loop (3.6 miles) or Royal Arch (3.4 miles) at Chautauqua Park in Boulder are classic hikes, plus Boulder is great to walk around afterwards (Michael recommends Rosetta Hall for lunch). Check out AllTrails for some of the most popular trails in the area, or email Elizabeth at elizabeth.molina.mail@gmail.com for recommendations of all difficulty levels, mileage, and distance from Denver :)
Every Saturday from 8 am - 1 pm. We love to walk around on Saturday mornings and get goodies from local vendors. Street parking available or park in the lot of East High School.
One of our favorite marketplaces in the Denver area. Great shopping from local small businesses and some tasty bites if you're feeling hungry. We recommend Rosenbergs for the best bagel sandwiches, Logan Coffee House for a cup of coffee, or Denver Biscuit Company if you're looking for a tasty breakfast/brunch option!
Not only an iconic concert venue in the Denver area, Red Rocks offers some great views and trails for everyone. Or test your lungs and run up and down the steps of the amphitheater.
Check out Union Square, the Dairy Block, McGregor Square, and Coors Field!
Check out the street art, Denver Central Market (we love High Point Creamery for ice cream!), and all of the breweries!
