Trevor and Rachel met in 2004 when Rachel moved to AZ. Rachel had developed a close friendship with a boy who’s best friend was Trevor. Trevor then became close with Rachel’s best friend, and the four of them became a tightly-knit crew. Though the pairs eventually fizzled out, Trevor and Rachel still ran in the same circles during high school, and remained distantly connected on social media after graduation. Fast forward to 2018: Rachel was newly single and out with her best friend Kati when she told her about an “insanely attractive guy from high school” and showed Kati a photo of Trevor. Rachel almost messaged him, but held back, as she was still pretty fragile. Weeks later, Trevor messaged Rachel in response to one of her posts, and from there they began talking every day, eventually deciding to meet for coffee. Right away, they had an instant and undeniable connection. They talked for 6 hours and didn’t realize until later that they had forgotten to order coffee! After that, Rachel and Trevor saw each other every week, which turned into every day. It was a true friendship, and though they had strong feelings for each other, neither would admit it. In fact, Rachel didn’t think Trevor was remotely interested, as he never so much as flirted with her! All of that changed in one night in February 2019. Since then, Trevor and Rachel have developed a beautiful relationship centered around healing, personal growth, adventure, humor, and trust, and though they know there will always be peaks and valleys, they don’t want to travel them with anyone else. Trevor proposed to Rachel on June 28, 2021 and they were married by a Justice of the Peace in front of their families on July 20, 2021. It was a dreamy day! They have decided to wait until their trip to Costa Rica to exchange personal vows, so that they can do so in the rainforest, privately, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Maybe their wedding guests will be a bunch of birds? OH WOW, they may never come back!
