The Nikah Ceremony will take place at The Pointe and the Reception will take place at The Grove at the JW Marriott Resort. Both events are outdoors.
Everyone is welcome to wear what they are most comfortable in, truly! The wedding party and family of the wedding party will be dressed in traditional Indian attire. Many other guests will likely be dressed similarly or be wearing traditional attire. These include but are not limited to sarees and lehengas for women and sharwani or kurta suits for men. Bright colors are encouraged. For the evening reception Black Tie and Indian attire are welcome. Due to uneven surfaces, the nature of being outdoors and in grass we encourage flat shoes that allow for balance and comfort.
True to the desert that California is, we expect warm weather and sunny days. However, Southern California evenings can be cool, therefore we recommend bringing a light jacket or a shawl/wrap just in case!
The traditional ceremony will start at 2:30 pm at The Pointe. The ceremony will start with recitations from the Holy Quran, and Arabic/Urdu Poetry. The ceremony itself is led by a Imam with the help and participation of the bride and groom’s family. The ceremony generally lasts 1-2 hours.
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” on your invitation so we can plan accordingly.
We love all the littles! However, invitations will be specific and we appreciate your adherence to your invitation
