Katie and Annette met at Pitt while in the teacher preparation program, CASE, where they very quickly, and intensely, became friends. Together, Katie and Annette served as vice-president and president of Kappa Delta Pi, an education honor society. Katie is a superstar second grade teacher, avid distance runner, and cat mom for the famous Poppy. Katie is also from the mushroom capital of the world--Kennett Square, Pennsylvania!

Stevie and Ian met in middle school at Dallastown (in York County) and became acquainted from having friends and classes in common. Stevie's house was the classic spot for Ian's high school friends, and even today they still reconvene there from time to time. Stevie and Ian played a lot of video games together in high school, but in more recent years have done a lot of biking, hiking, camping, and backpacking together. Stevie went to medical school in Greensburg and currently lives in Fayetteville, NC doing an intern year of residency, rotating through different specialties. He enjoys perfecting skills, whether it be cooking, making coffee, or video games. Having lived in several different places during medical school rotations, he has become an expert explorer of his surroundings, both the outdoors and local establishments.

Amogha and Annette have been friends since middle school, meeting as flutists in band. During high school, they shared an almost identical resume of courses and activities including marching band, speech and debate, Desi dancing, ultimate frisbee, knitting, bullet journaling, and talking for hours in the car. Amogha lives in Macon, GA, working on robotic systems in the medical device industry. She loves indoor bouldering and taking stunning photos on her national park adventures with her dog, Bubbles. Kevin Fleischmann

Kevin and Ian met in engineering classes in college and further connected about running, biking, and other outdoor activities. They lived together the last year of college at Pitt with several members of the triathlon club (of which Kevin was a member and Ian was not). Kevin currently lives in Astoria, Queens and works as an engineer, traveling to service and maintain ultrasound machines . He enjoys board games, video games, and outdoor activities.
Mayah El-Dehaibi

Mayah and Annette met during their first semester at Pitt, where they bonded over having the same rain boots and Annette's The Little Prince planner. In 2016, Mayah and Annette spent the month of May studying abroad in Florence, Italy. Mayah teaches 4th grade at the Provident Charter School and enjoys watercolor painting and cooking. Ask Mayah about her travel to Belfast and Berlin!
Michael Makar
Groomsman
Michael (more commonly known as just Makar) and Ian met at Patterson Park in Baltimore, playing ultimate frisbee in a pickup group. They have spent many hours discussing books, costumes, and frisbee in various locations: campsites, bars, disc golf courses, frisbee events (even a tournament in Costa Rica) and Patterson parties. He moved from Baltimore to Seattle, WA with his partner, Lizzy Hill, in August of 2022. Makar works to optimize people's repayment of student loans, conducting many phone calls with concise witticisms. He still plays plenty of frisbee, and he hikes, camps, and explores constantly with Lizzy all over the US.
Stacy Lu

Stacy and Annette met in Baltimore on a fall league team in 2019, and became close friends while playing together on a club team, Rat City, in 2021. Stacy, Ian, and Annette have shared countless carpools to frisbee events, reality tv show viewings, and time spent at local coffeeshops. Stacy is also one of Prima's favorite humans. Stacy is completing her PhD in Public Health at Johns Hopkins University, makes lots of awesome layouts during frisbee, and is cat mom to rambunctious Zinf and quiet Mimo.
Elias Dowling

Ian and Eli met playing ultimate frisbee sophomore year at the University of Pittsburgh. In 2017 he and Ian decided to join a CPU (Pittsburgh city rather than college) league, which is where they both met Annette! Through frisbee practices, nights hanging out at Melwood, and a lot of meals and beverages at Hemingways, Eli became one of Ian's closest friends. Currently Eli lives in San Diego, working as a software engineer for goPuff. He enjoys surfing, cycling, and traveling in his spare time.
Emma Piper

Emma and Ian grew up together in Dallastown at Piper Pond and spent a lot of time taking care of the many different animals and playing the woods. In her spare time, Emma enjoys reading, knitting, and witty puns. Emma has a knack for remembering every date and organizing lots of photos to document great moments.
James Kukunas

James has always been a protective, loving, and empathetic older brother to Annette. Annette learned many classic rock songs through hearing James practice guitar or play his favorite songs. James enjoys listening to music and reading about history. James also likes to work on jigsaw puzzles and assemble and paint car model kits.

Ashley officially joined the Kukunas clan in 2021, marrying dental school sweetheart, Paul. One of Annette's first memories of spending time with Ashley was playing beach volleyball where Ashley dominated the court. Ashley enjoys cooking, running, and reading. She also has a talent for creating beautiful decor and arrangements.

Despite Paul providing enough teasing of Annette for a lifetime, their brother-sister relationship was restored with shared enthusiasm for the Fox Chapel Area High School Marching Foxes. Paul enjoys fixing gadgets, singing in the shower, and reminding Annette to floss.
Nicholas Ryan

Nicholas is Ian's cousin, and brother of Samuel Ryan. He graduated from Dallastown Area High School in 2022, and in the fall of that year began studying at Gettysburg College in pursuit of degrees in history and theater. He is a passionate learner, always consuming one form of media and often two in order to maximize his time. Having started and led several initiatives and clubs in high school, he was wasted no time in college, already a member of the senate there.
Samuel Ryan
Groomsman
Samuel is Ian's cousin and is the brother of Nicholas. He is currently (or has recently completed) his senior year at Dallastown, and as of writing this is researching various schools of secondary learning, mostly in the warmer regions of the US. Samuel spends much of his time in athletic pursuits between cross country, pole-vaulting in track, and skateboarding. He also enjoys playing the guitar and spending time with friends.
Fiona Breslin

Fiona is the daughter of Sean (Ian's second cousin) and Jessica Breslin. Fiona is fierce, iron-willed, and devilishly smart. She loves dinosaurs, fishing, and riding her bike, preferably while wearing a princess dress.
Augustus Anderson

Augustus is the son of Ian's longtime friends, Michael and Hilary. Auggie loves trucks, fish, and the color yellow (Annette's favorite!). Auggie dislikes naps, broccoli, and sleeping in past 7am.
Theodore Erlandson

Theodore is the son of wonderful frisbee friends, Anthony and Amanda. Theo loves trucks, puppies, cheesecake, and running circles around his parents. He also loves carrying rings, delivering rings, and only occasionally trying to eat rings (mostly peach and onion varieties though). Theo dislikes hot sauce, putting away his toys, and being told he needs to sit still for a little bit.
