FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Dress Code: Semi-Formal Elegance We’d love for our celebration to feel polished, classy, and festive! Our dress code is semi-formal / cocktail attire. For ladies, think cocktail dresses, midi or maxi dresses, or a dressy jumpsuit in fabrics such as silk, satin, chiffon, crepe, lace, or other elevated materials. For gentlemen, suits or dress pants with a button-down shirt are perfect. Blazers and ties are encouraged but not required. Fabrics such as wool blends, linen blends, or other structured suiting materials work well for the occasion. Please note that guests will walk from the ceremony to the reception and will need to go up a set of stairs as well as walk in grassy area, so we recommend choosing footwear that is comfortable and easy to walk in. Please avoid overly casual attire such as jeans, shorts, t-shirts, athletic wear, or flip-flops. Most importantly, wear something that makes you feel confident and ready to celebrate with us!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the ceremony start time.

Question

What is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 1st to July 8th at the latest making sure to include plus ones and children!

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There is parking at the venue. The venue is about a 20 minute drive from Sheridan so we do recommend planning accordingly and also car pooling if possible.

Question

What is the typical weather like?

Answer

In early August it is usually pretty warm during the day but cools down significantly at night. Our ceremony site will have some shade to help with late afternoon heat.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

While we would love to celebrate with everyone, our venue has limited space. Because of this we kindly ask that guests only bring those who are listed on their invitation or included in their RSVP. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate additional guests beyond those invited. If you were given a plus-one, it will be noted when you RSVP. Thank you for respecting our guest list and helping us keep our celebration manageable.

Question

What should I know about the venue?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place on the ceremony lawn. The ceremony lawn is located on the lower area of the property in front of a white house. It is close to the parking area. The reception will take place under a large tent. This is located on the upper area of the property behind the museum. There are stairs or a hill to walk up to get there. For people who are needing help a golf cart will be available to help between locations.
