The ceremony and reception are both taking place at Big Sky Barn!
We are asking to wear, at least, your Sunday best, but if you have a nice cocktail dress you have been dying to wear, please do so! We are just glad you came! Boots are also very welcome.
Details regarding hotels and other over night stay options may be found under the “travel” tab.
Due to a limited capacity, we will only be able to accommodate those specifically listed on your invitation with designated plus ones. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!
The ceremony and the reception will be indoors. Cocktail hour will be outdoors, but in a covered space in case of rainy weather.
Arriving to the venue 20-30 minutes early is always a great idea to ensure enough time to find the venue, parking spot, and walk inside, especially if you are wearing heels (Ladies, heads up: parking lot is gravel).
The dance begins with the couple being led around the room in a circle, which signifies life. The couple then separates, which signifies a quarrel. The couple joins back together signifying making-up. The couples then join together in rows of four or more to signify the growing family. The couples return to single file, forming a snake that signifies the twists and turns of life. The couples then join together to form a bridge to which each person goes under to signify the strength of the new couples’ bond. As the Grand March encircles the happy couple, this signifies the support of the family and friends in their marriage as the music lulls them into their first dance.
