We technically met during Greek rush at the University of Redlands. Translation: we smiled, exchanged names, and then promptly went about our lives - knowing of each other, but not much about each other. Fast forward about 18 months, when fate - or maybe just a cheap drink specials at "$2 Tuesday" - brought us together. What started as a casual night out with friends turned into something much bigger. Turns out, $2 whiskey sours are good, but finding each other was easily the best deal of the night. After graduation, Joe packed up and headed to Seattle for his first "big boy job". Jess wasn't about to let him have all the fun (or all the rain), so when she graduated a year later she followed him to the Pacific Northwest. Between coffee shops, weekend adventures, and watching the annual "Oregon beating Washington" football game, Seattle really became the place where our story really took off. Six and a half years later, life threw us another twist: Joe got the invite to return home and help run the family business. So, just like the settlers on the Oregon Trail (minus the oxen, and wagon wheels breaking) we packed up a U-Haul and headed down to Eugene to start the next chapter of our lives together. Shortly after, Joe knew that it was more than time for the next step in our relationship - it was time to tie the knot. On the 4th of July in Newport, Oregon, Joe proposed to Jess on the beach just before sunset. The fireworks that night not only represented America's birthday, but the beginning of a life-long partnership together! We can't wait to celebrate with you all!
