Yes. Unfortunately, we are postponing our original wedding date (October 8, 2020) out of concern for the health and well-being of our family and friends. Please check back here often for updates on our new date!
We’re so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest, and are hoping to keep the guest list limited. Thank you for not bringing a guest unless your invitation envelope says "and Guest."
Your formal invitation will clarify how many seats we have designated for you and your family. You can also see this when you type your name in the RSVP tab of this website.
Semi-formal or cocktail, please. But we want you to be comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, there won't be any judgement here! Our wedding colors are burgundy, blush, and charcoal if you want to match.
Please arrive at the ceremony no later than 4:00pm.
We are having an "unplugged" ceremony and kindly ask that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. We have hired a professional photographer to capture some of the most important moments of our lives, and we'd hate to see our guests devices instead of their faces in our photos! We promise to share photos from our ceremony as soon as we get them. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you'd like and don't forget to use our hashtag #havenwedding when posting them on social media!
The short answer: haven is a combination of our first names (HAley & keVIN). The long answer: we discovered this combination of our names years ago when Haley's niece was teaching us about "ship names" and we loved how much the word described our relationship. ha·ven /ˈhāvən/ noun: haven; plural noun: havens a place of shelter and safety; a refuge.
We are registered right here at Zola.com as well as on Amazon.com! Just click the tab labeled "Registry" above where you can find our honeymoon fund, as well as other registry items. The ceremony will be outdoors under redwood trees, followed by dinner outdoors on a large patio with heaters, and dessert and dancing indoors.
While it's still too early to predict, Piedmont in October is usually in the 70's during the day and gets closer to the 50's in the evening. We will have outdoor heaters in the reception area with dancing and dessert inside, but we recommend bringing a sweater incase you get chilly. While the forecast doesn't show rain, we have a backup plan just incase!
There will be limited parking in the parking lot of the venue, with plenty of additional street parking. Please let us know if you or your guest have any physical restrictions so we can ensure accessible parking.
They are at the same location, so you don't need to worry about traveling in between!
