It was our first Christmas living in our house together. Early in the morning, we started opening our gifts. He handed me my stocking. I started pulling miscellaneous gifts out and then came to a pair of fuzzy socks. I could feel the ring box in the socks and immediately started crying. While I was sitting on the couch, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was private and perfect!
