Wellll.. since it is no secret now, baby boy seanor is coming in september! Which means we pushed the wedding up one whole year. Since it is so last minute we understand if you can not make it. We love you all no matter what! Your support through this time means more to us then anything! We can't wait to party picnic style with you!!! : )
It's an age old story really. Boy meets Girl, girl tells boy she is not interested, boy persists and the rest is history! No but really. We're your modern day couple meeting online! Greg was home on leave from the Marine Corps and Kayla was probably in her bedroom not able to sleep and they connected. They started messaging, and to Kayla's surprise hit it off. Greg let Kayla know he was on his way back to North Carolina because of the Marine Corps but he would be home in 3 weeks time, and they could get together. Kayla said he was crazy she doesn't do long distance, but alas something in her gut told her to hang on and she waited. Almost 6 years and a dog later, she likes to think she made a good choice.
Once Greg got home from the Marines, we realized that long distance wasn't for us. Kayla moved down to be with Greg (shout out to Sue). And the real adventure began. We adopted our best pal Ralph. Greg finished college. Kayla got a new job. Greg got a new job. We moved. And then moved again... And somewhere in between all that Greg decided it was time to propose.
We never wanted to do anything crazy for our proposal. I (Kayla) even helped pick out the ring (I know what I want ok!!). But Greg threw off the scent of me knowing when he was going to pick up the ring. Then one Saturday we had a bunch of stuffed planned (go to Sams Club, and Lowes). Greg asked Kayla to walk Ralph with him (its not her favorite) and she agreed. When we got back, Kayla was filling up Ralph's kong with treats for him, talking to Greg about their day ahead. When she turned around to give the kong to Ralph, Greg was his knee! ps. she said yes and 10 minutes later Greg was doing the dishes
