We’re getting married!!

Kevin was successful at pulling off a sneaky proposal! The ruse to get me to get dressed up was a Christmas cocktail and dinner party with some people he knows from work. I was stressed out about what to wear and had to go shopping for this because I didn’t feel like I had anything nice enough. He picked out my dress and then we went shopping together for shoes and a belt (go to Dillard’s first people!) The one thing I asked that he do for the proposal was have a photographer and he of course did. We also agreed that our families should be there and when i walked into the hotel room/apartment where this cocktail party was supposed to be I saw flowers and then our families standing in there! He kept it short and sweet and it was perfect. I cried and he blacked out so we’re glad that my sister took a video so we could remember what happened!

We are one of the online dating success stories!! Our story starts on Bumble with both of us swiping right. We messaged each other a few times and then I didn't hear from him for like a week. Unfortunately his grandfather had passed away and once he got back from the funeral he messaged me again and we made plans to meet up for dinner. First Date: The Rustic. Made it "Official": Galveston. I was involved in a car accident (we were driving separate vehicles to dinner) and while I was on the phone with him telling him what happened I was talking to some people checking on me and I just said "Yeah, my boyfriend should be here shortly." We both went with it and he earned a gold star for how he handled the situation and was so helpful. Our first vacation together was to Isla Mujeres August 2019. It was gorgeous, so much fun and I can't wait to go back. I've dubbed it "Our Island" (not Galveston lol).
