We’re getting hitched!

I went to a friend’s Thursday game night (shout out to Hannah and Makayla💕) on October 27th that Jay had been going to for a bit. We arrived at the exact same time and walked to the door. I felt awkward with this stranger so I said “hi!” and he greeted me back. The rest of the night, he never made eye contact or spoke with me. Assuming he was shy or indifferent, I didn’t think twice about it. Our bonding moment that night was doing a puzzle together to which I impressed him greatly I know.😂 Going to game night for a few weeks, Jay then asked for my number. (Completely shocking me! Thought he couldn’t care less about me) After some dates and hangouts, a brief time apart and some more dates we became official on March 18, 2023. And about a year and a half later, we are getting married! 🎉

Twas’ but a cool Thursday evening in October when I first laid eyes upon her. A gentle breeze blew as I stepped out of my car. It was game night with the friends as it was every Thursday and I had just arrived. As I began my short walk to the door another car door opened from the vehicle that had pulled in behind me. Little did I know at the time but that was the first time I would lay eyes on the woman who will soon be my wife. We both were timed to reach the door at the same moment and me being the smooth ladies’ man that I am, decided to give her a reliable “what up” and proceeded inside without further interaction. For whatever reason the event for the night was none other than a puzzle. I am not too proud to admit that I can be entertained for a time by a puzzle. However, this night a beautiful woman sat across from me that I did not know, and this puzzle was the only thing I had in common with her at the moment. That being said I did the only logical thing I knew to do. I did the heck outta that puzzle and didn’t speak a word to Kate all night. My puzzling abilities apparently did the trick as we are now getting married, but it wasn’t for another several weeks and some light conversation that I acquired her number. The moral of the story is always do the puzzle because you never know what it takes to impress the girl.
