We're married!

In April 2020 we were supposed to be going to Disney for a week with my grandparents and Sean's parents and sister. We were going to be there for the 1 year anniversary of our 1st date! We had plans for a romantic dinner at Be Our Guest, where Sean had an amazing plan involving his family and an etched glass enchanted rose for a very romantic proposal. But, because anything that can go wrong will go wrong, COVID-19 struck and our vacation was cancelled. Thankfully Sean had a back-up plan. He would take me to the Disney store! That way Disney would still be involved. But then the retail stores closed, and we were ordered to have no non-essential travel. So the week of our trip arrived and Sean knew that he still wanted to propose on the anniversary of our first date, but really didn't have any good ideas, besides having a romantic dinner at home and proposing in the backyard. After talking to my mom 3 days before the actual day, they worked up a quickly put together plan to give Sean and me a "Disney Day" at home! So we wore our matching shirts we had ordered for the trip, watched virtual ride videos, parade videos, and even had homemade dole whip and grey stuff! After dinner, we went outside under a canopy of lights and watched the Happily Ever After fireworks show. During the fireworks, Sean got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of his life with him. Of course I said yes!! (After I finally was able to put my food down after the shock wore off) While all of our plans may have had to change, I honestly wouldn't have had it any other way. The proposal ended up being even more special and magical than it could have been in Disney, and we have a great story to tell our future children!
