We love hiking though Hidden Valley Preserve. Accessible trails with fabulous views and fun bridges. Close to independent coffee shops and restaurants.

Hickory Stick Bookshop is one of our favorite local stores. They have a great selection and are located next to Marty's Café or the GW Tavern for lunch.
Good News Restaurant and Bar
Good News Restaurant and Bar is our favorite local restaurant. They have a great outdoor patio as well as a recently renovated bar.
Bantam River
The Bantam River offers access to picturesque boating and hiking though the White Memorial Preserve. If you're thinking of dropping a boat in we recommend starting at Whites Woods Road and checking out both directions. You will have to portage over a beaver dam if you paddle upstream.
Laurel Diner
Classic greasy spoon and local fav. Greg's order: The Kiki, sub sour cream for hollandaise, short stack on the side. Kate's order: Kiki, side of homemade corned beef hash.
The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum
Small contemporary art museum that always has something worth seeing. Check the calendar for exhibits, then walk down Main St. for a sidewalk hot dog at Chez Leonard. This is where Kate started her foray into museum life.
