Working with Sarah I was drawn to her energy, and we developed a close working relationship. As we grew as work friends, we knew we had a "vibe" of some sort. One day, we were out with friends for Happy Hour, and it happened to be Sarah's birthday. I sat next to Sarah, and we enjoyed a great afternoon conversing and laughing. I was drawn to her and felt right then that she was my person. I leaned in to give Sarah a hug to wish her happy birthday and could not resist kissing her. I caught her by surprise, but I could tell she liked it. That night I texted her several times while she was at a concert. Sarah did not text me back. I worried that I had crossed the line and misread her feelings for me. It wasn't until the next day she let me know she had dropped her phone at the concert and it broke. She wasn't able to see my texts the night before. I had not crossed the line but read her just right. We started dating and the rest is history.
As we were completing the final walkthrough of our new home Kirk popped the question. We were getting ready to leave and he acted like there was a problem he found in one of the kitchen cabinets. There he pulled out the ring and got down on one knee. Of course, she said yes.
