FAQs

The Wedding Website of Krzysztof Danielewicz and Meghan Heneghan
The Chalk Cliffs behind Deer Valley Ranch. You may stare at them if you would prefer not to stare at us during our ceremony.
Question

A destination wedding?

Answer

Yes indeed! We want to hang out in one of our favorite places and share the full weekend with our people, not just one night. We want our closest friends and family to enjoy our beloved mountains of Colorado together for an entire weekend! Please note Deer Valley Ranch is at 7,600ft. This means that the daytime sun will be strong, the nights will be chilly, and due to dehydration you'll feel the effects of alcohol much more strongly. Please plan accordingly!

Question

How do I book a room or cabin at Deer Valley Ranch?

Answer

We'll include more information about lodging booking and payment closer to the end of the year - you'll be able to reserve a spot in one of the on-site lodging options once we send out invites. Because we are coordinating the entire ranch booking, please do not attempt to book a room through the venue's website or phone line. We will be sharing detailed information alongside your formal invitations regarding lodging accommodations and how to submit payment. If you would rather stay off-site, there are numerous private Airbnbs and cabins nearby, or hotel and motel options in Buena Vista or Salida, CO.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both! But we didn’t drive all the way to the Rockies for the indoor amenities.... The ceremony, cocktail hour, and dance floor will be outdoors. The Welcome Party and reception dinner will be inside the Lodge or Centennial Hall. Colorado summers are famous for dramatic temperature drops the second the sun goes down behind the cliffs, so please bring a jacket or shawl!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Casual attire & denim is encouraged for Friday evening, and semi-formal attire is perfect for Saturday evening. Don't feel like it has to be a costume party; however, we encourage you to sport your colorful, fun, eclectic pieces and accessories! We'll be decorating with bright colors and energetic vibes in mind, so feel free to lean into that. A quick note on footwear: Our ceremony sits at the end of a dirt and gravel path. Do your ankles a favor and leave the stilettos at home!

Question

When should I arrive? How long should I stay?

Answer

You should plan on staying at Deer Valley Ranch (or neighboring Buena Vista or Salida, CO) from Friday, June 26 to Sunday, June 28. Check in is after 4 PM on Friday, and check out is 10 AM on Sunday. If you would like to spend more time in the area, feel free to add additional nights to your stay!

Question

What food options are available? What meals am I responsible for?

Answer

Meals will be provided for dinner on Friday, brunch on Saturday, dinner on Saturday, and brunch on Sunday. You are responsible for all other meals. Cabins offer full-size kitchens, so we are encouraging you to pick up groceries on your way into town to avoid needing to leave the venue. The nearest grocery store is City Market in Buena Vista, 17 minutes away. The closest restaurants are located in Buena Vista and Salida (17 min & 28 min away).

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but due to venue constraints, our wedding weekend will be an adults-only celebration.
