Donald and Krystina met years ago at another wedding on 02.14.15 As cliché as it may sound, they found love on Valentine's day. Donald caught eye of her perfectly manicured eyebrows in her purple shimmering dress and he stood out with his light grey plaid suit. He approached her and her group of friends and welcomed them, made small talk, and said "let me know if and when you guys have a drink, I'll take a shot with you guys." Krystina had brought her cousin Joceline as her plus one asking her to ask Donald if he had a pepcid (She knew he'd be able to find some since they were at an Asian wedding). So Krystina went up to him and asked him if he had any, which he said "ya, I'll be right back". A few minutes later he approached them with pepcid in hand. This is when Krystina knew he liked her; by the way he looked at her with his smile. She then played "hard to get" for awhile until he caught her taking shots at the bar without inviting him and his friends/family. Coming up to them and calling them out (planning this interaction all along) they were a few drinks in before they became mutually impressed by how much they could handle their liquor. They drank, they laughed, they danced and mostly importantly they talked all night long and haven't stopped ever since.
Krystina and Donald went to Japan with a group of friends for what was supposed to be her 28th birthday celebration. He had planned the trip around the famous cherry blossom festival knowing all and well that it was one of her favorite flowers. Going with a few of their talented friends he had told her they were going to do a mini photo shoot while they were there for his friends to have content; little did she know they weren't scouting for the perfect backdrop for their resume but to capture their special moment. It was a secluded section of the crowded, vast park with a bridge surrounded by greenery, cherry blossoms, and Tokyo in the distance. There was a sign that said 'no trespassing,' being afraid of getting in trouble she was hesitant, what if they got caught and kicked out and who even knows if the bridge was even sturdy enough for both of them to walk on but with everyone pressured her saying "do it, do it" "just go" "it'll be a cute picture!' She held her breath with adrenaline starting to pump and told Donald "okay let's do it." He held her hand as they ran towards the bridge and said "let's pretend to talk for the first picture." Once we got to the top he began talking to her but it wasn't small talk, & started kneeling on one knee and her jaw dropped to her chest. Everything around her blacked out and she was in shock, but coming back to reality she said yes and next thing she knew was there was a explosion of applause from all her friends, family and strangers watching from afar. To this day she still doesn't remember what he said, but what she remembers is that moment, even though they were surrounded by hundreds of onlookers it was just the two of them there. A moment they will always remember.
