Porto Atheras
A small, kid-friendly beach in the Bride's home-town. Crystal clear, shallow waters, guarded by a small island in the center of the bay that keeps the beach wave-free. While you're here, stop by the village just up the road from the beach to say "Hi!" to the Bride's family!
Petani Beach
On your day trip around Paliki peninsula, we recommend you spend an afternoon here. Petani is a magnificent beach and it looks a lot like Myrtos. Here you will find crystal clear waters nestled in between two lush mountainsides. Be sure to stay late enough to see the BEST sunset the island has to offer.
Lixouri
The second largest city on the island. If you are visiting the Bride's village (Atheras) or Petani Beach, this is totally worth a stop for light shopping, breakfast, coffee, or dinner.
Xi Beach
A cool experience if you are in the area, with plenty of beach bars and restaurants to keep you busy! This red-sand beach is surrounded by natural clay mountain formations. Be sure to snap off a chunk of the clay and give yourself a spa experience while you're here.
Myrtos Beach
One of the most famous beaches on the island. This beach boasts fluorescent blue waters that will leave you awestruck. Pack some rock shoes and walk to the very edge of the beach to find a hidden grotto.
Melissani Cave
One of the best attractions on the island. Take a row-boat ride through this caved-in cave that becomes illuminated by the sun every afternoon. Tickets are required and can be purchased at the cave entrance.
Antisamos Beach
Our absolute FAVORITE beach on the island and home to one of our favorite beachside restaurants/bars: Acron Beach Bar. Head here on a Sunday to lounge on sunbeds, enjoy a delicious lunch, and be sure to stay until 6 PM for the weekly Sunday Evening Beach Party.
Assos Village
Krystina's favorite village on the island. Head here to have lunch at Nefeli Restaurant in this picturesque little town. If you are bold enough, pack some athletic attire and hike up to see the remains of the Venetian Castle of Assos.
Fiskardo
A gorgeous port-side village. Excellent for shopping, sight-seeing, and dining near the water. We strongly recommend dining at Tasia's Restaurant.
Agia Effimia
A gorgeous port-side village. When passing through this scenic town, make sure to take a quick pause for a coffee, smoothie, or ice-cream.
Costa Costa Beach Bar
This luxury beach bar/restaurant offers rentable sun-beds, cabanas, and more!
Argostoli
The place to be at night! If you are staying near the Bride's Village, hop on the ferry boat and make your way to the island's bustling Capitol. Here you will find loads of restaurants, bars, shopping, and nightlife.
Terre Mouikis Restaurant
The absolute best restaurant on the island. Currated by Michelin star awarded executive chef Asimakis Chaniotis, this is by far the top dining experience you can have while visiting Kefalonia. Be sure to make a reservation as early as you can!
