Residence Inn by Marriott Charlotte Uptown

This hotel is located in Uptown Charlotte and is the closest walking distance hotel to our wedding venue. The hotel is a .5 mile walk to our wedding venue (take the walking path that runs behind the Panther's stadium and along S Graham St). If you prefer not to walk Uber and Lyft are also available for about $5. Parking is available for $12 a day. All rooms have fully equipped kitchens and hot breakfast is complimentary. Two types of rooms are available at the discounted wedding block rates 8/27 - 8/30: 1) Studio Suite $159 2) Two Bedroom Suite $194 Rate is available until July 27, 2021. Wedding Event ID is WWB. The hotel is conveniently .5 mile to the Stonewall Lynx Light Rail station (260 E Stonewall St,) for easy access to sightseeing activities in Noda & South End during the day. Round trip fares are $4.40 and unlimited day passes are $6.60. All tickets can be purchased at the station.

Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT)

The Charlotte Douglas International Airport is the largest and most convenient airport to Uptown Charlotte (approx 17 minutes by car to either of our hotels with wedding block rates listed above). Uber/Lyft to Uptown Charlotte costs approximately $13. Meet your Uber/Lyft at the designated pick up area outside of the lower level baggage area. Follow signs. The airport has car rentals available on site (Alamo, Avis, Advantage, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz and National). To reach the rental car facility – Exit the terminal on the lower level (Arrivals/Baggage Claim) and proceed directly across the car and shuttle/bus lanes via covered walkway into the Level 2 lobby. Other nearby airports include the Concord-Padgett Regional Airport, 9000 Aviation Blvd NW, Concord, NC (30 minutes from Uptown). Allegiant airlines has discount flights to this airport. For budget fares from NJ (sometimes as low as $40 each way) consider flying Frontier Airlines out of the Trenton NJ Airport.

The Lynx light rail has round trip fairs for $4.40 and all day passes for $6.60. Tickets can be purchased at any station from the ticket machines. Locally owned artist shops, breweries (The Chamber by Wooden Robot, Heist, Salud & Divine Barrell). Walk up donut counter (Reigning Donuts) & various dive bars / eateries. Bland Street Station: Craft beer garden, Bulldog Beer & Wine, Seoul Meat Company East/West Blvd Station: Light Rail trail, lots of places to eat and breweries. Look for Hawkers (asian street food), Barcelona, Dilworth Tasting Room & Jeni's Ice Cream New Bern Station: Triple C Brewing, Suffolk Punch & the Waterman Fish Bar
