Like many modern love stories, ours began with a match on Hinge. In April 2024, Krysten liked Eric’s profile, and he jumped in with a very cheesy joke. She hasn’t stopped laughing since. Our first date was in May 2024, and it didn’t take long to realize something special was unfolding. We bonded over our love for the Lord, good food, and the outdoors, and we could talk for hours and just feel completely at ease. It all felt effortless. By June 2024, Eric finally asked Krysten to be his girlfriend (a bit of a theme, as you’ll see). Not long after, he was the first to say “I love you,” though he definitely made her wait for that too. Since then, our relationship has been full of laughter, faith, and learning to lovingly overlook each other’s “yellow flags,” like a very large sock collection and a few slightly expensive hobbies… we’ll let you guess who’s who. In January 2026, Eric asked the biggest question of all, and now we’re getting ready to say “I do.” Turns out one cheesy joke, a little patience, and a whole lot of God’s goodness and grace can lead to something pretty incredible.
