How we met

Love in Libertytown

Kenny and I actually went to school together and rode the bus together in Elementary school. While I wish the rest of our story was romantic and saying we fell in love on the back of bus 13, we did not haha. Years later ole Kenny was on social media and saw me so he "hit me up". I actually thought he was put up to it by an ex and almost didn't answer him. I most certainly am glad I took a chance. From the first time we hung out (which was getting Dunkin' and drinking it outside-Thanks COVID), we have been inseparable and I wouldn't want it any other way.

The Proposal

Babe what's this ornament?

On a regular Wednesday evening, Lyss came over to borrow wine for dinner while I was washing dishes. Kenny decided to go ahead and start decorating the tree. While my hands are sudsy he starts asking "Babe, did you put this ornament on here?". Me knowing I had not put any on was like "no" and kept washing dishes. He kept asking me over an over if I did and what it was. So, frustrated, I stop washing dishes and walk over to the tree and I'm like "that's not mine and I didn't put that there". He holds up the ring and says "what about this?" and dropped to one knee. I yelled out "seriously?" and "are you sure?". He assured me he was sure by telling me I was the best thing that has ever happened to him. So of course I said yes. Then he finished the dishes.
