First of all, we want to thank each and every one of you guys for being a part of our lives - without you guys we wouldn't be who we are today! Our wedding is quickly approaching for August 10th, 2024, and we hope to see you all in Santa Fe, New Mexico. On this website, you'll find all of the necessary details for the celebration. We recommend booking your stay as soon as possible since Santa Fe tends to be a popular place in the summer and rates will only increase. We have several room blocks for you to choose from, and we also recommend to check out Airbnbs and rentals in the area which may be more cost effective if you're traveling with a group. Please reach out to us if you have any questions! (Pssst... Keep reading this page to learn more about our love story!)
Matt had moved to San Antonio August of 2019 and Krys moved January of 2020, so needless to say, we connected over being new to the area. Our first date was on February 6th, 2020 at Sternewirth, Hotel Emma's swanky bar located in a historic cellar. We met for a few drinks and instantly connected like we'd known each other our whole lives. We talked about everything from work to hobbies to dreams and passions and realized we had so much in common. After Krys stubbornly refused for Matt to get both rounds of drinks, Matt paid for the first round and Krys got the second round. Life hasn't been the same since and we wouldn't want it any other way. 🥂 (Shoutout to Hinge for matching us!)
Matt, with the help of his sister Renee, fully convinced Krys that they were attending a fundraiser cocktail hour for his niece's (Clara) preschool. Krys had absolutely no clue anything special was planned and didn't even question it - Renee even sent a fake invitation (it looked legit!!). With friends and family literally driving to our house to prep for the surprise engagement party for after the proposal, Krys was sitting on the couch coloring a purple unicorn with no sense of urgency to be on time. We finally got to the San Antonio Botanical Gardens and that was went Matt popped the question! It totally caught Krys by surprise in the sweetest way and will be a forever memory for both of us. 🥹
After getting engaged, we started our hunt for finding our dream wedding venue! It was quite the experience since we weren't sure what state or city we wanted to get married in. After weeks of searching and weighing our options, we both agreed New Mexico would be a beautiful place to get married - especially since Matt grew up in Albuquerque! The Santa Fe landscape is breathtaking and the town has something for everyone. From fishing to art galleries to cultural museums, we knew Santa Fe was our place! It didn't take long for us to fly up and tour several venues where we fell in love with the mountains and aesthetic of the Four Seasons Rancho Encantado. The ceremony will take on a terrace overlooking rolling hills and mountains, and the reception will be held in their courtyard and ballroom which feels like you've been transported into an Italian villa. We can't wait to celebrate with everyone and show you why we love New Mexico so much!
