My parents have been the epitome of generosity and love to their children. They have been wonderful guides with sage advise through every twist and turn of life's path. I am so glad they get to experience this special event with us on one of the most beautiful islands on God's green Earth. There are no words grand enough to express my gratitude for having such wonderful people as parents.

Mother of the Bride
My mother is a strong women! I have learned my resilience through her. She truly has made lemonade from lemons and has a great ability to look at the positive through challenging circumstances. She has overcome and survived 9 brain surgeries after having a stroke and aneurysm when I was 5 years old. She is also very spunky and can be big Mama bear when needed. She has taught me so much about being strong, honest, patient, and having compassion. Thank you Mom for helping me be the women I am today!
Michelle Beth-Hughes

Michelle was my social worker at Koinonia when I was just 13 years old, almost 25 years ago. She has been there for me at very big moments in my life, during all the ups and downs of life, during the worst and best times of my life. She has taught me so much about how vast God's love is. That God will never leave nor forsake us. She has gone to the darkest, scariest place of my heart with me and provided love and care! She loves me and others so well! I have learned through her to love. I am so thankful to have her in my life and I am excited to step into this new season with her and Will's support. I love you Michelle! Past, Present, or Future you will always be apart of my heart!!!! Time or distance will never separate us!
Sondra and Ray Jensen

Sondra and Ray (Aka Chosen Family) have been apart of my life since I was 13 years old. I met them while living at Koinonia Home for Teens, a short term residential program for teens. I was close friends with their daughters, Jenelle and Jalyse, we went on mission trips together and were tied at the hip. After becoming friends with Jenelle and Jalyse, Sondra and Ray took me under their wing as another daughter. They have included me during holidays, trips, and even family pictures! They have truly tried to make me part of their family as much as possible. I have felt the love and care from Sondra and Ray over the many years. I am thankful to have them and l cherish them! I feel honored that I get to celebrate this special day with them!!! Cheers to Sondra and Ray!!
Vivian and John Justus
Spiritual Parents
I met Viv and John when I was 20 years old during my internship at the Rock of Roseville church. Joy, their daughter, and I were headed off to UC Berkeley to complete our undergraduate degree. They have embraced me into their family, including me on family trips and during holidays. I lived with Joy for eight years prior to meeting Rob. During that time we truly did community together. Sharing meals, sharing prayers, and sharing love. This is the longest I lived anywhere, because of having to move a lot during foster care. This was such a special time to do life with the Justus's and it certainly has helped prepare me for a life with Rob. I am a better person because of the Justus's influence and I am thankful for them! Cheers to Viv and John!
