Krystal and Pete have been inseparable since the day we met, in the summer of 2008 in Del Rio, Texas. Back when we paid for minutes on our phones, but calls after 9 PM were free. Innocent, young teenage love. Pete’s first words to Krystal were… “I really like your shoes.” Neither of us was old enough to drive. We relied on our parents' kindness to commute and pick us up from our “dates” before our curfews. Pete’s family moved from Texas to Kansas. Long distance is confusing and hard as a teenager. We went our separate ways, but daily communication never faltered. We never ran out of things to talk about, miles away. We were best friends before we fell in love with each other. Before you build a roof, The foundation starts with the floor Country girl. City boy. Our open minds opened a door They say opposites attract, But polarity is much harder to ignore. Pete moved to Lubbock while Krystal moved to San Antonio. Inevitably, we crossed paths again. After 12 years of maintaining contact through calls, texts, and social media… we finally saw each other again. This time, Krystal said she liked Pete’s shoes. The attraction, energy, and chemistry were all still there after all those years of living states away. The comfort of bringing out each other’s inner child was all too familiar. In a room full of lovers, we are the best partners either of us could ask for. In a room full of entrepreneurs, Krystal and Pete are the best business partners either of us could ask for. When we tell the shorter version of this story, we just say we’re high school sweethearts. Time ceases to exist when we’re alone with each other. That’s what true love is about. Krystal has the key to his heart. Pete built a house in her heart. Now they both have a place to call home. Love feels like shelter.. Piece by piece, you built a house in my heart. …and Home is where the heart is. We were inseparable from the start.
