The envelope your invitation came in will include the names of those invited. If it has “and guest” written, that’s us saying we’re setting aside extra for you to bring a plus one if you choose. We understand you may not have kept the envelope. Feel free to text John at (352) 226-4001 if you need to check.
While children are welcome at the ceremony, the reception will be ages 18 and up. There are financial and practical reasons for our decision, but most of all we wanted to give parents a night off to enjoy themselves. We apologize for any inconvenience.
We are asking guests to RSVP by September 1st, so we can plan food and seating. You can do so on this website.
Dress code is formal attire.
We recommend that guests arrive 15 minutes or so before the official ceremony start time (2 pm) so they can get settled before the proceedings.
There will be plenty of parking available at the ceremony location, as well as, the wedding reception location.
After the ceremony, the immediate family of the couple will be taking pictures outside of the ceremony reception for around an hour. Guests can drive or walk over to the reception venue (2 minute drive or 4 minute walk) where snacks and drinks will be provided. Dinner will be served at 6 pm, with dancing to follow.
For cocktail hour we'll have Jamaican patties, coco bread and a variety of beverages. For dinner we'll have oxtail and curry chicken as entrees; for sides, steamed cabbage with Jamaican rice and peas.
Yes, please enjoy responsibly.
Don't you DARE. The building has a fire suppression system that will douse us with flame-retardant foam, after which we will be charged thousands of dollars. After that John will fight you in the parking lot. No Smoking!
We are registered with Zola. We have a honey moon fund through our wedding website that you can choose to contribute what you wish.
