About mid-December 2018, both Krystal and Boris found themselves swiping up and down on the dating app "mutual." Boris was immediately captivated by Krystal's green eyes and unique bio. Krystal was hesitant because daddy always said, "don't date boys with motorcycles," but she swiped up anyways. It was a match, and Boris initiated the first conversation. After messaging back and forth several times, Boris invited Krystal to Lomitos, a Chilean restaurant in Orem. Unfortunately she was about to leave the state and wouldn't be available until January 4th nearly 2 weeks later. They continued to chat during that time, and finally met at her doorstep when Boris came to pick her up for dinner.
After an evening temple session, Boris insisted to go for a walk. We crossed the street from the temple and entered the park where he began to tell me about how dangerous it was at night. I told him that if I got attacked by a bunny I blame him. As we came down the hill, I saw lights in the distance, and he asked me, "What is that?" I said, "I don't know Boris, what is that?" And as we came down into the clearing there were lights, flowers, and a sign with the words, "Will you marry me?" I whispered to him, "Wow, it looks like you went all out." I stood in the heart shape made by the candles as he searched for the ring. He handed me a dozen white roses and got down on one knee and said, "Krystal will you marry me?" I said yes at least three times, and his parents came out from where they were hiding to congratulate us and take photos.
