The road to the Hocking Hills State Park Cabins abuts the rear of the lodge parking lot. There is parking directly in front of all cabins. While the cabins are not “far”, depending on individual cabin placement, level of comfort, and footwear, guests may opt to walk or drive from cabin to lodge and wedding events.
There is a handy Cabin Supply List on the lodge website, you can find it by going to the the lodge website > Lodging>Cabins and scrolling down to find the supply list. It has drop down tabs with details of what is already in the cabin, like linens and toiletries, and gives suggestions of what you may want to bring with you. The most convenient grocery options en route to the lodge are in the town of Logan. You will find both Kroger and Walmart within 1 mile of your exit from SR 33 to 664. We also highly encourage a stop at Buckston’s on 664! With regard to firewood, it is available for purchase at the lodge. Any outside firewood is required to be sourced from within Hocking County.
Please note that lodges and cabins, in accordance with state law, provide a smoke-free environment for all guests. We ask that this non-smoking policy be observed inside all guest rooms, cabins and public areas, including restaurants. Smoking is only permitted 30 feet away from any building. Smoking is prohibited on all room and cabin decks, patios, balconies, and porches.
Late May in Ohio should be beautiful! Typical weather features warm, pleasant days and mild evenings, with temperatures generally ranging from highs in the mid-to-upper 70s°F to lows in the low 50s°F. In addition to your wedding attire, make sure to bring comfy clothes and sturdy shoes if you plan to hit the hiking trails as well as bug spray, sunscreen, and a hat. The lodge has both indoor and outdoor swimming pools and hot tubs, so make sure not to forget your suits and sandals. While we don’t want to put it into the world, there is a chance of rain this time of year so a rain jacket would be advisable just in case!
