When and where is the wedding?

Are children invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we’re keeping our celebration mostly adults‑only. We kindly request an adults‑only celebration. Children are invited only if they are specifically named on your invitation or RSVP. Thank you for understanding as we create an intimate atmosphere for the day.

What’s the weather like in October?

Answer

South Texas in mid‑October is warm, usually in the 80s during the day and cooler in the evening. Even though all events are indoors, outdoor transitions and photos may be warm, so breathable fabrics are helpful.

What should I wear?

Answer

Dressy cocktail or semi‑formal attire fits the venue and season beautifully. Think: dresses, jumpsuits, suits, or dress shirts with slacks. If you’re unsure, leaning slightly dressy is always safe.

Answer

We recommend staying near the McAllen Convention Center area — it’s close to restaurants, shopping, and easy routes to Mission. Please see the Travel page on our website for recommended hotels.

What is there to do near the McAllen Convention Center?

Answer

This area is one of the most convenient and walkable parts of the Rio Grande Valley. Popular options include: Food & Drinks - Yard House, P.F. Chang’s, Saltgrass Steak House, Starbucks and Local cafés and bakeries within a short drive Shopping - Shops at 29 (boutiques, gifts, and local finds), Palms Crossing (Target, Best Buy, Ulta, HomeGoods, etc.) and La Plaza Mall (10 minutes away — major brands and department stores) Things to Do - McAllen Performing Arts Center, IMAX & Cinemark Theater, Quinta Mazatlán nature center (beautiful walking trails) and Firemen’s Park (great for a morning stroll)

How do I fly in to Mission, TX?

Answer

Most guests will fly into McAllen International Airport (MFE). Common airlines include American, United, and Delta, with connections through Dallas (DFW) or Houston (IAH). The drive from the airport to Mission is about 10-15 minutes. For additional flight options, especially on Southwest, guests may also fly into Harlingen (HRL). HRL is approximately 34 miles from Mission, with a typical drive of 45–55 minutes because the route follows local highways. For convenience, we recommend renting a car for the weekend if flying to and from HRL, as the region is spread out and rideshare availability can vary from Harlingen to Mission.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

If a guest is invited with you, their name will appear on your RSVP or "Guest" will appear. If only your name appears, we kindly ask that you attend solo.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

At this time, guests will be responsible for their own transportation. Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are widely available in the area and most of the ceremony, reception, hotels, restaurants and entertainment are within a 10 minute rideshare service away.

Is the ceremony or reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are fully indoors in comfortable, climate‑controlled spaces.
