Our Story

In God’s Timing

This may be a surprise for some of you - we are high school sweethearts! That’s right. We caught each others’ eye at FlipSide517 (a Wednesday night youth service) in 2006. Why not some time before or even the hallways of Stuttgart Jr. High? Because Ronnie was a home school student. He was not like any other boy I had met yet. He gave me butterflies and made me nervous, yet he had a calming presence that I felt safe and like I could be the genuine version of myself, relax a little. He was knowledgeable in the Bible, and such a servant hearted kid. This resonated with me more than I could have told you at the time. Our young love and captivated interest in each other was no match for a long distance relationship. We officially broke up after my freshman year of college (2011 for those making a timeline). As painful as it was, we thank God for this! Ronnie and I needed to grow in our individual relationships with Christ, to learn more of who we are in Him. This is an ongoing study, of course, that we look forward to doing alongside each other. After 10+ years of living our own lives, we reconnected in 2022 when Ronnie asked for advice about an accounting job and I asked how I could potentially play ultimate frisbee again. He invited me to watch the competitive team practice in Little Rock and see if it was a culture I wanted to join. I met him at the fields in August 2022 and the connection was undeniable, stronger than in high school. I found myself in those shoes again - he was not like any other man I had met yet. In September 2023, after much prayer, consideration, advice seeking, and talking, we decided to date with the intent to marry. Long distance dating has not gotten easier, but we have a different focus and more appreciation for each other and the process. Ronnie proposed on June 12, 2024 at Wildwood Park for the Arts in Little Rock. Here we are now, planning for the day we commit to each other in front of all of you. Thank you for being a part of who we were, who we are, and who we will become.
