What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is dressy business attire, formal is appreciated. Below is a general example. For Women: Dresses: Midi or knee-length dresses, sundresses, or a chic skirt and blouse combination. Jumpsuits: Elegant jumpsuits are also a great option. Shoes: Dressy flats, low heels, or wedges. Formal attire is welcome. For Men: Tops: Button-down shirts, polo shirts, or sweaters. Bottoms: Dress slacks, chinos, or khakis. Jackets: Optional blazers. Shoes: Loafers, dress shoes, or nice boots. Formal attire is welcome. Please Avoid: Jeans, work boots, shorts, casual t-shirts, and athletic wear. We kindly ask that guests avoid wearing white, silver, or any colors that are close to white. We want to ensure the spotlight stays on the couple! Thank you for your understanding!

What is the Theme and Color Scheme of Our Wedding?

Our wedding will be inspired by the theme of a fairy tale, reminiscent of the romantic charm in Taylor Swift’s “Love Story”. The color scheme for our special day will feature light lavender and light sage green, reflecting the gentle and serene nature of our love. We look forward to sharing this magical day with you.

What special features will be available for guests at the wedding?

Answer

To complement our dressy theme, we’re excited to have a photobooth and a guest photographer set up at a designated location during the reception. Guests will need to visit this station to capture their glamorous looks! If you’ve ever wanted professional pictures of you and your date, this will be a fantastic opportunity to get them! The photographer will be available for two hours, and there will be a web gallery where you can download digital photos and order prints if you wish. Please be sure to check the itinerary board for the photographer’s start time so you don’t miss out!

Will your ceremony be unplugged? What is an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

Yes, our ceremony will be unplugged. An unplugged ceremony is a special time where we ask our guests to be fully present and enjoy the moment with us. We kindly request that all phones, cameras, and other devices be turned off and put away during the ceremony. We want to create a more intimate and meaningful experience for everyone. By being fully present, you can truly share in the joy and love of our special day. Plus, we have a professional photographer capturing all the beautiful moments, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the ceremony. Please turn off all devices before the ceremony begins. Our officiant will also make a brief announcement to remind everyone. Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like during the reception and other festivities. We’d love for you to share your memories using our wedding hashtag #HappilyEverMartin.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can RSVP on our wedding website or by sending back the RSVP card included with your invitation. We understand if you can't make it, but please let us know either way. Your response helps us plan our special day!

What is the RSVP deadline?

We will update this answer once we're farther along in the planning process.

Can I change my RSVP after submitting it?

Answer

We can make the necessary changes to your RSVP until the deadline. After the deadline, we will only be able to accommodate changes if you are no longer able to attend.

For Our Loved Ones Who Can’t Attend:

We understand that not everyone will be able to join us in person on our special day. For those who can’t make it, we will be streaming the wedding live on YouTube. The livestream will be playing on our home page, and we’ll also share a Facebook announcement closer to the date.

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Please fly into George Bush Intercontinental Airport. This is about 25 minutes away from the venue.

What hotel can I stay at?

Answer

Courtyard Houston Northwest 11050 Louetta Road, Houston, TX 77070 (281) 374-6464 RSVP: Please reserve your hotel room through the reservation link if you need accommodation. The reservation link is under the hotel section of the "Travel" tab. There will be a complimentary guest shuttle going between the hotel and venue. We have a wedding room block with discounted rates: $109 for king rooms with sleeper sofas $129 for rooms with 2 queen beds ⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️ Our discounted room block closes on August 10th! After this date, rooms will be at regular rates and subject to availability. If you're planning to stay, please book before the deadline to make sure you get a room at the special rate—we don’t want anyone missing out! Breakfast: Rates include breakfast, which will be served buffet-style in a separate room for wedding guests.

How do I get to the hotel?

Answer

Please consider a car rental, Uber, Lyft, taxi, or other transportation.

Question

Will transportation be provided between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be held at the same venue, so no transportation will be needed between the two events. The only transportation required will be from the airport to your hotel upon arrival and back to the airport for your departure.

The formal invitations will be addressed to specific individuals. Only those invitations that include ‘and Guest’ will allow for a plus one. We apologize for any inconvenience, but with two very large families coming together, we are doing our best to accommodate everyone while adhering to the venue’s guest count limits.

Where are you registered?

Answer

We have decided not to create a traditional gift registry. Instead, we’ve opted for a honeymoon fund. Since we’ve been living together and need to keep things light for our travels, we would greatly appreciate contributions to our honeymoon fund to help us create beautiful memories. Please don’t feel obligated to contribute, but if you choose to, we are truly grateful! If you prefer to send a card instead of bringing it with you, please mail it to our home at: 333 Lancaster Road, Lunenburg, VT 05906. Given our travel schedule, this will be the best place to receive cards by mail.

Are there any other events happening during the wedding weekend?

Yes! As of right now, on Friday evening, we will be "hosting" an informal dinner at BB's Tex-Orleans. This is for anyone arriving on Friday who would like to join others from the event for dinner. Please note that this is an informal gathering and not part of the official wedding festivities, so feel free to do your own thing if you prefer. Important details: Location: BB's Tex-Orleans is just a 5-minute walk from the hotel, in the shopping plaza directly behind it, or a 2-minute car ride. 21441 Tomball Pkwy, Houston, TX 77070. Seating: We will be seated in a covered outdoor patio area. Food & Drinks: They have a full bar, and their food is amazing—personally tested by Joe and myself! 😉 Payment: Since this isn't part of the wedding, everyone will be responsible for covering their own tabs. An 18% gratuity will be added to each tab, so please don't feel obligated to leave additional tips unless you feel moved to do so. We hope to see you there, but no pressure if you have other plans!

In September, Houston Texas typically experiences warm and humid weather. Here are some key points: High Temperatures: Average highs range from 86°F to 92°F (30°C to 33°C). Low Temperatures: Average lows range from 69°F to 76°F (21°C to 24°C). Rainfall: September is one of the wetter months. Humidity: The humidity can be quite high, making it feel warmer than the actual temperature. Overall, it’s still quite summery, so light, breathable clothing is recommended.

Will there be any pets at the event?

Yes, there might be a special guest—Daisy Mae, our adorable ring bearer! If you have any allergies, we recommend taking your allergy medication before arriving to ensure you enjoy the celebration comfortably.
