Back in November of 2016 Krysia and Patrick were currently single. They were each using a dating app called Tinder. One day Krysia and Patrick each had a notification that they had a match! When looking they both were so excited that they had matched with each other. They talked for a month on their interest, music, food, and hobbies. To their surprise they had so much in common. Patrick was the boy version of Krysia and Krysia was the girl version of Patrick. Krysia took the leap and asked Patrick out on a coffee date. Patrick happily accepted and planned the date for December 26th. Krysia was so nervous though, that she gave Patrick the wrong Starbucks address. Patrick thought he was being catfish because the Starbucks he went too had no female insight. Thankfully Krysia found the right address, and to Krysia's luck Patrick still wanted to meet her. When they finally met, they could talk for hours on end. They continued to date until the night of January 10th where Patrick asked Krysia to be his girlfriend with a date jar, flowers and all her favorite candies. The rest is history.
Patrick and Krysia are huge into National Parks and hiking. After visiting the Grand Canyon, they decided to book their next adventure to Zion National Park in Utah. This is where Patrick would decide to have the perfect engagement. He asks permission to marry Krysia from her Father and her two brothers. When they gave him their blessing the plan was on. It was the morning of the hike and Patrick told Krysia to dress a little nicer because he said they were going to dinner after. Krysia was not too happy seeing as they were going hiking, and it was going to be 110 degrees outside. Krysia kept thinking why on earth am I going to dress nice for a hike in this heat. She was oblivious. When they got to Zion Krysia really wanted to do the Narrows hike. This hike was where you hiked in water. Patrick immediate thought of the ring in his pocket and automatically was convincing Krysia to do a different hike. So instead, they compromised and chose the Emerald Pools hike. They hiked for about a mile in the heat and came to path where you can choose to go right or left. On the right was a huge flight of stairs, and on the left was an easier path but with more people. Patrick knew Krysia wanted a private engagement, so he said let's go to the right! Krysia tried protesting but Patrick was already up the huge flight of stairs. He shouted down to Krysia saying the views are beautiful up here! Patrick told Krysia in the beginning he really wanted a hike with an amazing view. So Krysia angrily stomped up the stairs because at this point she was so hot and so tired she wanted to turn back. So, they got up there to a beautiful breathtaking view with no one around. They set up their phone to take their photo on timer as they always do and that's when Patrick got down on one knee. They couldn't have had a more perfect engagement or a more perfect spot.
