Krystle's Version: After downloading Hinge for the 75th time, I was pleasantly surprised to find a handsome man who actually provided meaningful answers to the prompts. I happily liked his photo and he responded to match shortly after. David's Version: Krystle's Hinge profile said it all. She loved "Books, wine, & water." I knew we had a lot in common. After Krystle swiped first, I moved quickly to phone calls, then eventually our first date that same week. Our Next Steps, Together: Most people would find it odd, but for us, a first date at the Maryland Emancipation Day Festival was right on brand. Our shared love of Black culture, art, dance, music, and good food made it an easy first date. After a great first date, David couldn't get enough. He scheduled dates #2 and #3 back to back the next two days. If you know Krystle and her calendar, you know there must have been true interest and a bit of divine intervention. We've spoken every day since that first meeting. Our love has included lots of gatherings of family and friends, plenty laughter and silly moments, a few tears and scary moments, and lots of learning and growing. We've journeyed from MD to NY, NC, Philly, Panama, and recently Ghana together. We invite you to join us as we enter this next phase in our journey.
