Due to the escalating situaton with the Coronavirus pandemic, travel ban, and advisories to not have a large gathering, all our events are subject to change. We want all our family and friends to be safe and healthy! We kindly request everyone’s patience. Thank you!
North Carolina out of all the places in the world, has a funny way of bringing people together when they least expect it. Keep in mind this is a story of a Chicagoan, and a New Yorker. Countless time spent on Dil mil, and shaadi.com, it turns out we found each other offline in this world of online relationships. Though we’ve both tried meeting people through family friends, it just so happens this time was a charm. Special thanks to family in NC and Kunal’s parents, because had it not been for them, he says he wouldn’t have called at all. It started with a simple call into few phone conversations and texts, nothing unusual- introduction, likes, hobbies, etc... Just couple months later, we decided to meet. Just than, Kunal decided to bail few days before (he used the work excuse lol), I thought ahhh, a typical guy. Guess he was really testing my patience, but he came through a few weekends later. I made him wait for an hour dealing with a cracked windshield at the time, so I’d say I got even! Over Peaqods pizza, and blue moon, we realized something was different. As we swapped stories and life anecdotes for the next few hours, it became abundantly clear that the flow of the conversation did not feel like first date. We hit it off and never looked back. From the first call to the first date, we had instant chemistry, thought it wasn’t until few months of phone tags, calls, texts, and a trip to NYC where we both separately realized we were perfect to each other (even though the feelings were mutual, we would both deny it and wanted each other to admit it first). By date #2, 3, 4, and 5– Kunal was totally falling for me, while I took my sweet time making sure he’d stick around. Back and forth monthly trips to NY and Chicago with frequent random facetimes is how we managed the distance. We soon exchanged I love yous, and now busy planning a wedding!
