MAY 21, 2022 at 11AM Thank you to everyone who has been so patient in coming together with us to celebrate our wedding! This first year together has been truly wonderful, and we appreciate everyone who has sent us well wishes and support as we have started our life as a married couple. We had hoped that restrictions, and COVID-19 in general, would have improved more by now, but sadly that just has not been the case. In an effort to protect the health of all our guests, we are asking that anyone who has received an invite and RSVPs yes be prepared to provide either of the following: 1. Proof of full vaccination and booster against COVID-19 OR 2. Proof of a negative COVID-19 test from within 72 hours prior to the reception If there are any concerns regarding what we are asking, we would love to discuss it with you privately, but our decision stands firm with these requirements. We want to ensure that the reception will be as safe a space as possible to gather and celebrate, and ensure that we do not continue to spread the illness needlessly. We appreciate all of you for your continued love and support, and we look forward to seeing you on May 21st! Please make sure you RSVP by May 1st to be counted as attending.
When our story began, both of us were at points of uncertainty. Hannah was about to finish college and head out into the "real world," and Louis was trying to figure out what God had planned for him after moving away from Los Angeles. In the midst of that, the two of us met online in a dating app. It was simple at first, as both of us knew the other lived states away. But the more time passed, the more we started falling for each other. Whether it was our shared interest in vast personal libraries or a deep appreciation for puns, we were becoming quite smitten and doing a very poor job of hiding it. After a week of dates, we started dating officially and began working on the challenge of what would be a year of long-distance. We made it through that year with long Skype dates, Snapchat silliness, and lots of phone calls long into the night, occasionally ending with someone reading a book to help the other sleep. The year had its tough spots, but it strengthened our relationship and made it all the sweeter when we both made it to Salem to settle down as Hannah became an editor for the Oregon State Legislature and Louis would work with children's youth theatre.
